Aloris Entertainment and producers Tom Ratcliffe and Dan McKinnon acquired the exclusive life-story rights of Lopez Lomong. Prior to Aloris' acquisition the rights were held by Warner Bros./New Line.

The screenplay is being penned by Dan McKinnon (Missing William, 0 Hour) and Eric Shapiro (Rule of Three, The Devoted).
